Program Overview
General Information Degrees offered are the Master of Science and the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Nutrition (online and in-person options) and the Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health. Studies in the Nutrition program emphasize nutritional interventions, including nutritional metabolism, nutrition education, nutrition and reproductive health, and community nutrition. The Master of Science program prepares graduates for doctoral studies in nutrition and for careers in research, clinical nutrition, community nutrition, or nutrition education. The Master of Public Health is a professional degree program that prepares those with advanced degrees and experience for practice and career advancement in a public-health nutrition setting. The doctoral program prepares individuals for teaching and research in academic institutions and for positions of professional leadership in health and health-related agencies in which research is an important function. |
