Educational Policy, Research and Administration Department

The Educational Policy, Research and Administration Department is concerned with the social foundations and perspectives needed to enrich educational practice; prepares leaders in educational policy and administration; and advances educational research and evaluation methodologies that provide the basis for effective decision making and knowledge generation. Graduate programs prepare students for educational policy-making, planning, administration, college or university faculty, and research positions. Integral to these programs is preparation to work in local, national, and international contexts.

The department supports programs of study in the areas of Educational Policy and Leadership, Psychometric Methods, Educational Leadership, International Education and Higher Education. Doctoral degrees are offered in Educational Policy and Leadership (with specializations in Educational Leadership, Higher Education, and International Education, and Psychometric Methods).  Master's degrees are offered in International Education and Higher Education.

The department has a new Master's degree in Educational Assessment and Policy Studies, a Certificate in Higher Education Leadership and Management (HELM), and a dual Master's degree option between Higher Education and Public Policy.
