Program Overview
The Plant and Soil Sciences Program is no longer accepting applications. All individuals interested in applying to graduate study in the M.S. and Ph.D. programs must apply through the Plant Biology Program. The Off-Campus Professional Soil Science M.S. degree is still available. The Plant and Soil Sciences Program of the Department of Plant, Soil, and Insect Sciences offers graduate work in plant, soil, and environmental science areas. Specialization and research areas related to the physiology, genetics, molecular biology, and pathology of horticultural and agronomic plants, to the fertility, chemistry, and physics of soils, and to environmental and ecological problems are available to both Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy degree candidates. The department has no foreign language requirements for the doctoral degree. Thesis and non-thesis options are available in the master's degree program. |
