610 Primary Care of Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults
Evaluation of theory and research in the practice of primary care nursing with culturally diverse populations of children, adolescents, and young adults. Common health problems affecting this population presented with a focus on the health promotion and management of health disruptions. Social problems, health care policies, and practices which affect the delivery of primary health care emphasized.

614 Advanced Health Assessment and Clinical Reasoning

615 Advanced Pathophysiology
Concepts and theories related to disorders of physiological processes which result in health alterations in the child and the adult. Alterations in normal body functions leading to disease and discomfort of the individual presented within an organizing framework. Clinical inferences from concepts and theories of pathophysiology and pharmacology presented in relation to clinical nursing practice in primary care.

620 Primary Care of Middle-Aged and Older Adults
This course examines the role of the advanced practice nurse in the delivery of primary health care to adults and families from diverse backgrounds.  Adult physical and psychosocial development, aging, family, health promotion, evidence- based practice and cost-effective management of common health problems are emphasized.

622 Adv Practice Psych Mental Health Nursing with Adults and Older Adults
This course prepares psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner students to achieve competencies in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders common in adult and older adults.

626 Complementary and Integrative Healing Modalitites 1: Mind Body  An in-depth exploration of specific mind-body CIM.  Research regrading the origin, scientific/evidence-based rational, and application of selected CIM is examined for use in wellness and chronic/acute care.

627 Complementary and Integrative Healing Modalities II: Naturopathy  An in-depth study and exploration for the evidence-based use of foods, phytotherapy, and whole medical system complementary and integrative modalities.
