Doctor of Philosophy Degree Program

The course requirement for the Ph.D. degree is 18 credits of Doctoral Dissertation (BME 899), a minimum of 9 credits of graduate coursework in a major concentration area, 9 credits of graduate coursework in a minor concentration area, and 2 semesters of a Graduate Seminar. All coursework must be approved by your faculty advisor.

Ph.D. students are expected to pass an oral qualifying exam during their second semester, and a dissertation proposal defense before their third year.
