All students are admitted to work toward the Ph.D. degree. However, the Master of Science degree is ordinarily earned after completion of 30 credits of study including a Master’s thesis. Students are not admitted for a Master’s degree only, nor are they admitted for part-time status.

A Fast Track Master's degree in Neuroscience and Behavior is offered.  This program is available only to graduates of the University of Massachusetts Amherst or the four colleges in the Five College community who have worked as undergraduates in the lab of a faculty member in the Neuroscience and Behavior Program. 

Cognitive Science interdisciplinary certificate is also available.
