Program Overview
The Offshore Wind Professional Certificate serves professionals and graduate students seeking to up-skill and broaden their knowledge to address the needs of the offshore wind industry. This certificate covers the broad range of disciplines involved in this industry, including technology and engineering, environmental impacts and permitting, stakeholder engagement, project development and supply chain logistics, project financing, and energy markets and policy. The Certificate requires 9 credits across 3 courses completed through online courses, and can be completed within one calendar year. The registrants are also provided with industry guest lectures, career and networking resources, and special events offered online as well. The course requirements are as follows:
- ECO 610: Offshore Wind Energy – Technology, Resources, Grid Integration, and Trends
- ECO 611: Offshore Wind Energy – Environmental Impacts, Siting, Permitting, and Stakeholder Engagement
- ECO 612: Offshore Wind Energy – Project Economics, Deployment, and Business Logistics
