Program Overview
The Certificate in Business Analytics is delivered both face-to-face and online and requires the completion of twelve (12) credit hours of designated graduate-level courses, as specified below.
The certificate is transitional and credits can be applied to an Isenberg graduate degree based on the requirements of that degree and assuming that the student is admitted into the graduate degree program. For example, all of the credits listed below can be applied to the MS in Business Analytics degree, upon admission into that degree program.Please consult with an advisor for information about the courses that can transfer to the various Isenberg graduate degrees.
The Certificate in Business Analytics can be pursued by anyone with an interest in advancing their knowledge in business and data analytics and its associated applications (e.g., data extraction, data manipulation, data visualization, data-driven strategic decision-making, etc.). Students will acquire core knowledge/skills that will allow them to understand and address current foundations and trends in business analytics. Specific knowledge and skills include (but are not limited to) data management, business intelligence, visualization, programming, data mining, statistical analysis, and business key performance indicators (KPIs).
Students must complete the six (6) credits of core courses listed below, and six (6) credits of electives from the elective courses listed below.

Elective Courses - 6 credits
- SCH-MGMT 609 Business Application Development w/Python (3 credits)
- SCH-MGMT 650 Business Statistics (3 credits)
- SCH-MGMT 655 Data Mining in Business (3 credits)
- SCH-MGMT 656 Project Management (3 credits)
- SCH-MGMT 657 Data Science in Business (3 credits)
