Program Overview

The Department of English offers graduate programs and concentrations leading to the degrees of M.A., M.F.A., and Ph.D. Applicants can choose from the following program options:

• Terminal M.A.
• M.F.A.
• M.A./Ph.D.
• Ph.D.

Areas of concentration for non-M.F.A. students include

• American Studies
• Composition and Rhetoric

Applications for fall admission are made through the Graduate School; the deadline is December 15.
