Doctor of Philosophy Degree Program
Students may pursue the Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering (see Civil and Environmental Engineering). In addition to the doctoral degree requirements of Civil Engineering and the Graduate School concerning admission, residency, dissertation, and exams, the EWRE Program requires at least 18 credits of dissertation research. For graduate students without an M.S. in a related field, 24 course work credits are required. For this with an M.S. in a related field, required course work credits are decided by the advisor. There is no language requirement.
