The Minor
The Computer Science Department offers a minor in Computer Science, open to all students at the university. The five courses that make up the minor provide a coherent introduction to the science of computing. These courses are CMPSCI 121, 187, and three CMPSCI courses numbered 200 or above (except CMPSCI 305), including at least two of the 200-level core courses (220, 230, 240, 250). Courses taken on a Pass/Fail basis may not be used for the minor, and students must achieve at least a 2.000 grade point average on the courses used. Interested students should complete a Departmental Tracking for the Minor form in the department’s main office. |
