Educator Licensure Programs
Teacher preparation licensure programs are available for Early Childhood (at the undergraduate level), and Elementary and Secondary Education (at the graduate level) in a variety of subject areas. Students interested in the undergraduate program should review information in the section titled The Major. Students complete a series of courses leading to Massachusetts licensure. The culminating phase of these programs is a final school-based practicum normally taken during a post-graduate year. All students must complete a primary major in the liberal arts and sciences or an approved interdisciplinary major appropriate to the licensure sought as well as complete an approved teacher preparation program. Admission is by application only. For further information, contact the Educator Information Office, tel. (413) 545-2002. |
