FINANCE Major Finance is the study of money and its relation to time and risk. A well-functioning financial system allows individuals, institutions, and governments to borrow or invest funds in an efficient manner, allowing the economy to grow while safeguarding its health. Finance can be broken down in three broad areas: Corporate Finance, Investments, and Financial Institutions. We cover all areas of finance with special track emphasis on the following:
OPERATIONS & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT Major The Operations & Information Management major is an integrated view of operations and information management which gives our students a competitive advantage in the marketplace and meets the needs of the industry.
The Operations and Information Management curriculum equips you with the skills that meet the needs of the business world. The subject matter encompasses what is now being referred to, in the marketplace, as business intelligence, business analytics, and business process optimization. The list of offered courses includes Supply Chain Management, Introduction to Management Science, Business Processes and Enterprise Systems, Business Intelligence, Project and Information Management, Logistics and Transportation, Business Process Simulation, Business Process Optimization, Humanitarian Logistics and Healthcare, Sustainable Systems. The curriculum is flexible and includes courses that satisfy the Information Technology Minor. OIM students may also earn an SAP Student Recognitions Award by completing the program of study supported by the SAP Business Suite: required courses include Business Processes and Enterprise Systems, Business Intelligence, and Project and Information Management. |
