UMA Undergraduate Guide 2013-2014 Judaic and Near Eastern Studies Academic Departments and Programs Judaic Studies Career Opportunities
Career Opportunities
A major in Judaic Studies offers excellent preparation for professional training programs requiring an undergraduate liberal arts education. Many of our majors have plans for a career that is directly related to Judaic studies, such as Jewish education, Jewish communal service, social work, the rabbinate, or an advanced graduate degree in preparation for an academic career. Some go on to graduate study in other fields such as law, business, medicine, or a career in the the arts and communication. Alumni and alumnae who have majored in Judaic Studies have gone to graduate schools such as Brandeis University, Harvard University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Hebrew Union College, Jewish Theological Seminary, and Yeshiva University School of Social Work. |
