Social and behavioral science majors bring to the job market strong critical thinking, analytic, and problem-solving abilities, good human relations skills, and confidence in their ability to learn and grow in new work situations. Graduates have gone on to careers in a wide variety of fields, including law, social work, economics and financial analysis, urban and regional planning, public policy, environmental design, landscape architecture, marketing, education, management, international relations, public relations, television and radio broadcasting, journalism, and advertising.

Career and Field Experience Advising
Students should begin to explore the world beyond the university as early in their undergraduate experience as possible to help ensure a smooth and successful transition from school to work or to further study. Campus Career Services houses staff that assist College of Social and Behavioral Sciences majors with Career Planning and Field Experience. Staff are available to help students make intelligent, well-informed career choices, and to provide undergraduates with opportunities to obtain experience through internships, cooperative education, and service learning programs.
