UMA Undergraduate Guide 2015-2016 Academic Departments and Programs Hospitality and Tourism Management Study Abroad
Study Abroad
HTM students are afforded a variety of opportunities to study abroad. Students can spend a semester or year abroad studying at institutions such as: Southern Cross University in Australia, Oxford Brookes University in England, or the Caesar Ritz Hotel Management School in Lucern, Switzerland. HTM also offers students a one year Learn6/Work6 program in Switzerland. In this program students earn two semesters of academic credits in six months which includes German language courses. This is followed by working as a paid intern for another six months in a European hotel or restaurant. A summer abroad program is offered every year as well. This program takes students to destinations such as London and Paris as well as other popular European destinations. Students who participate in these activities often pursue international career opportunities and learn essential foreign languages. |
