UMass Libraries
The UMass Amherst Libraries function as a partner in teaching, learning, and research at UMass Amherst and in the Commonwealth by providing a wealth of resources, technology, expert staff and a range of services to support faculty, students, staff and the broader community. The UMass Libraries maintain two physical locations, the W. E. B. Du Bois Library in the center of campus and the Science and Engineering (SEL) Library in the Lederle Graduate Research Center. The Libraries provide many physical spaces for learning and research including the Learning Commons, the Digital Media Lab and the Graduate Student Commons. Quiet study spaces are available in both the Du Bois and Science and Engineering Libraries. The new Digital Scholarship Center provides support for a growing range of digital scholarship tools and techniques, and is a gateway for many of our services that support research including data management, copyright and scholarly publishing as well as a team of subject liaison librarians to assist with discipline-specific research. The Special Collections and University Archives are home to many unique and important collections, accessible by visiting the SCUA Reading Room as well as online through Credo. |
