How to Explore / Get Started in the MajorSuggested General Education CoursesAll Undergraduates are required to satisfy the General Education Requirements. Guidelines for students are available at https://www.umass.edu/gened. Students should choose a wide variety of Gen Ed courses, providing breadth of experience. Suggested Major and Pre-requisite Courses(placement according to background and preparation) The major in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies consists of 14 courses, with a basic set of language requirements and interdisciplinary area studies options.
