Description:
Are you interested in a career in human resource management or need a stronger background in the context of human resources than in the past? Many organizations now require their human resource staff to hold some type of certification for advancement. This five course certificate can help get you there by giving you the knowledge of some of the various elements of human resource management.
This certificate will educate you on the key functions of human resource management, including recruiting, training, performance appraisals, motivating employees, workplace communication, workplace safety and compensation.
Requirements:
Earn your certificate with these five required online courses. All certificate coursework must be taken through UMass Amherst.

- MANAGMNT 314: Human Resource Management
- MANAGMNT 330: Organizational Behavior
- MANAGMNT 334: Strategic Compensation
- MANAGMNT 397W: Special Topics - Workforce Planning, Recruitment, and Selection
How to Apply:
Students need to apply to the Human Resource Management certificate. There is no deadline to apply. Successful applicants should have completed 24 credits of college level coursework or have two years relevant work experience.
