The Operations & Information Management major prepares you for careers, such as a business analyst, data analyst, logistics specialist, management consultant, operations manager, or a supply chain analyst. These roles are central to any team—they make business efficient and effective, base their decisions on sound empirical evidence, and develop a holistic understanding of how a business functions. The Operations and Information Management curriculum equips you with the skills that meet the needs of the business world. The subject matter encompasses what is now being referred to, in the marketplace, as business and data analytics, operations management, information systems, supply chain management, and business process optimization. OIM students have access to many internships and permanent placement opportunities across a range of industries spanning segments such as logistics, information technology, food, consulting, healthcare, advisory, retail, pharmaceutical, office supply, and aerospace. Most recently, graduates have taken on positions at Amazon, Abraic, Dell EMC, Epsilon, Ernst & Young, Grant Thorton, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, JP Morgan Chase, Liberty Mutual, Oracle, Pepsi, Pfizer, Pratt & Whitney, PwC, Raytheon, Staples, Target, Teradyne, TJX, and Wayfair among others.
