Career Opportunities

Students graduating with a major in Italian Studies open themselves up to a wide range of career opportunities. The major provides a solid background for students wishing to pursue the fields of teaching, translation, journalism, diplomacy, government, law, marketing, public relations, hospitality and tourism, medicine, and international affairs, among many others. Some of our recent alumni have graduated to go into jobs in sectors as diverse as education, hospitality and hotel management, sports management, scientific research, finance, and economics. Students are encouraged to consult with their advisors to discuss how their major may help them in their desired field.

Additionally, Italian Studies majors have the opportunity to apply to the Lombardia High Schools Internship program after graduating, giving them the experiencing of living, working and learning in Italy.
