Academic Advising Services
All students in the college are strongly encouraged to meet with an academic advisor regularly to support their academic development. Faculty and staff advisors are available to assist students with questions or concerns they have as they progress through their academic careers. This includes advice on course selection; major exploration; departmental, college, and university requirements; career guidance; assistance with academic problems; and referral information about other services.
Each program in the college has an Undergraduate Program Director/Chief Undergraduate Advisor who facilitates advising to students concerning the major. HFA Exploratory Track students are advised by dedicated advisors in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts Advising and Career Center (https://www.umass.edu/hfa/advising) in E202 South College.
Advising for all College of Humanities and Fine Arts students regarding career and professional development, college requirements, university requirements, general academic advising, other academic matters (for example, course repeat options, late course adds, late course drops, academic discipline) and programs within the college is handled through the College of Humanities and Fine Arts Advising and Career Center (E202 South College; 413-545-6152; advising@hfa.umass.edu; https://www.umass.edu/hfa/advising). This office also houses the College Records Auditor.
