All OIM students are automatically enrolled in the Integrated Operations Management & Analytics concentration, which allows the flexibility to choose from a wide range of classes across specializations. 

If you choose to specialize, you can elect one of these OIM Concentrations:

  • Business Analytics Certificate: OIM majors complete courses that satisfy the requirements for this certificate.
  • SAP Recognition Award: This award, supported by the SAP Business Suite (an Enterprise Resource Planning System), is granted to students who complete the following 3 courses
    • OIM451 Information and Project Management
    • OIM452 Business Processes and Enterprise Systems
    • OIOIM454 Machine Learning in Business

Awards for OIM Students Only

  • OIM AI Achievement Award: The OIM AI Achievement Award recognizes undergraduate OIM Students who have demonstrated skills and accomplishments in artificial intelligence. To be eligible for the award, students must earn a B or higher in the following 3 OIM courses:
    • OIM 210 Introduction to Business Information Systems
    • OIM390STB Artificial Intelligence in Business
    • OIM454 Machine Learning in Business. 
  • OIM Supply Chain Excellence Award: The Supply Chain Excellence Award honors students who achieve distinction in managing, analyzing, and optimizing supply chain networks. Students build expertise in end-to-end supply chain performance. To be eligible for the award, students must earn a B or higher in 3 of the following OIM courses:

  • OIM Operations Leadership Award: The Operations Leadership Award recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in leading and continuously improving business processes and high-performance teams. Students gain the analytical and leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across industries.To be eligible for the award, students must earn a B or higher in 3 of the following OIM courses:

OIM Course Requirements

Total Requirement: 8 courses (2 Core Courses, 3 Concentration Courses, and 3 Upper-level Electives)

Core Requirements: you must take 2 courses: 

1. One Information Management Core course
