The Field
The Isenberg School of Management prepares students to assume positions of responsibility in the diverse business world. Students may pursue an education in a variety of business disciplines represented by majors in seven departments and two undergraduate degree programs. Majors in the Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Operations & Information Management departments earn the B.B.A. degree, while majors in the Hospitality and Tourism Management and Sport Management departments earn the B.S. degree.
The Isenberg School’s educational program is directed toward the broad aspects of business, encouraging high standards of ethical conduct, broad social responsibilities, and the development of competence in particular courses of the student’s interests, aptitude, and choice. In addition, the introduction to such fields as mathematics, economics, psychology, sociology, and government offers a deeper understanding of the relationship between business and these other disciplines.
Students enter the Isenberg School as incoming first-year students, as on-campus applicants from within the university (Hospitality & Tourism Management and Sport Management only), and as transfers from other colleges or universities. Interested high school seniors should direct their inquiries to the University Admissions Office (413) 545-0222. Accreditation
AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, accredits the undergraduate program of the Isenberg School.
Undergraduate Programs Office
The Undergraduate Programs Office is staffed by the Associate Dean, Assistant Dean, Managing Advisors, Academic Advisors, Advising Peers, the Executive Director of Operations and Enrollment Management, and Operations Staff. Students are encouraged to get to know the academic advisors early in their educational journey. Career Placement Assistance for Isenberg School Students
The Chase Career Center exists within Isenberg to help students find internships and the all-important first job. Services include a large on-campus recruiting program, workshops, one-on-one sessions for help with resumes and interviews, and guidance to identify possible career choices. The Chase Career Center is staffed by the Assistant Dean, the Director of Business Communication Program, Director of Employer Engagement, Career Coaches, and Career Peers.
