The Program

Completion of the certificate in AI in the Humanities and Fine Arts will:

  • Develop students’ understanding of the history of artificial intelligence, how current models function, and how they relate to human intelligence and creativity
  • Increase students’ awareness of the place of AI in society, of its current and potential impacts, both positive and negative
  • Provide experience working with AI systems, and guidance on how they can be used effectively, responsibly and safely

The certificate requires the completion of 5 courses, including at least one chosen from each of three menus. All courses are three credits. The courses can be taken in any order, and none have prerequisites.
