The Program
INNOVATE is a 17-credit undergraduate certificate program designed to provide a cohesive, experiential education in innovation and entrepreneurial practice. Students complete a structured curriculum that includes two required core courses—UNIV 120 Introduction to Innovation and Entrepreneurship and UNIV 220 Applied Innovation and Entrepreneurship—along with three electives, with at least one course in each of the two broad areas of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. In addition to coursework, students participate in I&E-focused workshops and training, engage in hands-on experiential learning opportunities across campus—including in the makerspace—and collaborate on interdisciplinary capstone projects.
Jointly offered by all colleges and schools, the program is open to undergraduates across all majors.
