Doctor of Philosophy Degree Program

The course requirement for the Ph.D. degree is 18 credits of Doctoral Dissertation (BME 899), a minimum of 9 credits of graduate coursework in a major concentration area, 9 credits of graduate coursework in a minor concentration area, and 2 semesters of Graduate Seminar. All coursework must be approved by your faculty advisor.

Ph.D. students are expected to pass an oral qualifying exam and an oral dissertation proposal defense before their fifth semester.
