Stockbridge Tradition
The Stockbridge School of Agriculture, founded in 1918, is an integral part of the College of Natural Sciences at UMass Amherst. Its mission is to offer programs that develop the skills that individuals need to be successful in their careers in businesses and research related to sustainable food production and landscape development and maintenance. The Stockbridge School offers both residential and online degree programs, as well as online certificate programs. Our programs continue the tradition of founder Levi Stockbridge to emphasize learning by doing.
