Career Opportunities
The B.S. degree in Environmental Science leads to a variety of career opportunities in governmental agencies, private environmental consulting, and non-governmental organizations addressing resource conservation and management, environmental quality assessment and compliance, and interagency coordination in environmental quality maintenance. Environmental Science majors are prepared for immediate employment upon program completion. Many graduates will continue studies at the graduate level in such diverse fields as ecotoxicology, soil science, hydrogeology, conservation biology, water resource management, environmental microbiology, geographic information science and technology, environmental science education, environmental engineering, public policy and environmental management, and environmental law.
